Maybe your business just isn’t where you expected it to be, or where it needs to be. Maybe you feel less energized, or that you are slipping down a slick slope. Whatever your reason is, you can reignite that passion that you have very little, or none of. Follow these steps and you will be well on your way.

  1. Get inside of the industry – Find out more things that are going on in the Moving Industry, you may be able to find more interesting and less restrictive ideas or plans that will motivate you more. This will give you inside tips and tricks to the industry. Becoming more involved opens different doors and new possibilities.
  2. Hone your Skills – Your passion may be strained because you feel that you have experienced it all, if this is the case, learn something new. Look for those in your industry that know more than you do and buy them lunch or attend a business course, or try marketing. Nothing chases away your passion faster than having the feeling you know everything. Get out there and learn.
  3. Search for a Mentor – One of the best ways to protect yourself from failure or burn out (which can lead to a decline in passion) is to find a mentor and work with them. 4. Network – Everyone needs to have a network behind them. Whether it is to help open doors, close deals, or for guidance and assistance. However, there are other advantages to networking. If you find the right network of people, it can be a blast. Who knows, maybe you can make some lifetime friends.
  5. Dealing with the Negativity – Every moving company has dealt with the classic unappeasable customer. No matter what you try to do, they are simply unhappy. Take there comments towards your service or business in broad strokes, try to discern if what they are saying is honest. If they are telling the truth, try to apply this towards bettering the practice of your company. If they are not telling the truth, focus on positive feedback or reviews that your company has gotten in the past. Try keeping a folder of all of the positive reviews and feedback any read through them, or even enter some of them in on your website. They can really boost your mood when you are down in the dumps.

Remember that your passion and drive was once there and that even though you are feeling like it is diminished or is gone completely, that it can be brought back again.
