Two Men and A Truck Sponsors Donation Drive

Two Men and Truck is a moving company servicing both residential and commercial clients in Sacramento. They have kicked-off their annual Movers for Moms donation program that would benefit the charitable organization WEAVE. The mover has joined hands with local organizations and schools for achieving their goal of collecting more than 10,000 household items and clothing, which would be provided to mothers living in shelters on Mother’s Day.

Two Men and A Truck has already donated over 8,000 items to the charitable organization. WEAVE is one of the leading providers of special services to survivors in sexual assault and domestic violence in Sacramento. Two Men and A Truck has planned to collect more than 10,000 items this year for those loving in shelters.

The moving company has been organizing this special donation event since 2009. In 2012, they received support from popular radio station, THE FISH and were able to significantly increase their donations. This year, they are joined by both THE FISH and the Sacramento Association of Realtors (SAR) Charitable Foundation. The SAR is going to contribute by collecting donations from all the members in the industry including realtors in the weeks leading to the Mother’s Day.

In addition, two schools, Sacramento Country Day School and La Petite Academy have also jumped for helping collect the times for the Movers For Moms drive. The moving company has already dropped the boxes in these schools and would return before Mother’s Day to collect the filled boxes.

Two Men and A Truck is encouraging local organizations, businesses and individuals for participating in this donation drive. The kind of items collected for WEAVE include women’s and kid’s new or mildly used clothing and personal hygiene items. One could also take the donation items to the office of Two Men and A Truck at Belvedere Ave. in Suite D.
