AMSA Members Once Again Provide Support to Victims of Oklahoma Tornado
Members of AMSA again set the example of supporting their community by reaching out to victims of the recent tornado of May 20th in Moore, Oklahoma.
Emrick’s Van & Storage representatives from Oklahoma City collected relief supplies and delivered to different locations in need. In addition, the Allied agent offered its fleet for delivering meals at the shelters.
Families of the Affiliated Movers of Oklahoma City employees lost their homes and belongings. The staff of the Arpin agent collected medicines, gloves, water and supplies and transported it all to volunteers and rescuers.
Many Arpin agents came forth with their plans on helping the community. For one instance, Hirte Transfer & Storage declared that they were in contact with a number of schools ready to offer supplies, while Hirte was ready to pick it all up, do the packing and crate it to be shipped to Affiliated Movers, who could carry out the distribution.
On the other hand, The Arpin Group made use of their Arpin Tragedy Disaster Fund, which was created recently by its staff after the Boston Marathon bombings.
Two Men and a Truck’s Oklahoma City franchise has its staff gathering donations and delivering it to the shelters. All the employees of the mover and their families were safe and didn’t encounter any serious damages to their properties.
An Atlas agent, Ace Commercial Movers has received significant amount of support from AMSA members, alliances and other Atlas agents. 3 staff members suffered serious damages to their properties and vehicles.
A Fort Smith, Arkansas based North American agent, Koller Moving and Storage joined hands with a local church, Harvest Time for collecting and delivering relief supplies. While the charge worked with other local churches for collecting the supplies for the victims, Koller donated transportation to Moore.
The other movers that made their contributions in one or other forms include Albert Moving & Storage, Texas Moving Co. and Across U.S.A. Moving & Storage.
