AMSA Attracts Attendance at Conference

Last October, AMSA’s annual Safety and Operations Conference was held in San Antonio, Texas. The conference had nearly 70 participants, breaking attendance records. The economic recession has taken its toll on corporate relocations. Twenty-five percent moving firms decreased their relocations in 2008 and 2009. In 2010, relocations were starting to increase, but the companies that specialize in such relocations were still not receiving the normal amount of business. On average, corporate relocation experts moved between 100 and 199 companies for the third year in a row, when, before the recession, they had between 200 and 399 relocations a year. But now, the number of relocations are increasing and starting to return to prerecessionary levels. So how do the experts get the business?
