The moving industry as a whole is looking for ways in which costs can be cut or lowered, giving the companies savings which are great for the future of many moving businesses. Some developments in running warehouses and buildings are saving businesses money each month. But, can you imagine the technology has improved to a point where it is possible to enable truck and fleet owners to install solar panels to the roofs of trucks? The future of solar paneled trucks is now and your company can benefit.
When all around you is closing down and the jobs that were once easy to come by have all but gone, how do you expand and grow in this economy? There are companies that are expanding and growing, when all else seems to want to pack up and shut down; the correct answer is to find the right area to grow.
This conference was hailed a success, there were presentations from a number of different organizations including the FMCSA, the California Moving & Storage Association and American Transportation Research Institute. This three day event was well attended by those in the moving industry, who were keen to learn of new developments, in a variety of different topics. These topics included the most up to date technology devices available in the removal business.
As there have been several notable achievements within the moving industry in recent months, we thought that we would take some time to tip our hats to the people who put in that little extra effort, to make our industry something so very unique and special. Here some of the achievements of Arpin Group and Interstate Service Group.
In the first part of this two-part article, we discussed the most recent Personal Property Forum meeting by the Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC). In the final part of this article, we will be discussing some additional issues that were tackled at the meeting, as well as some upcoming plans that are presently being set in motion by the SDDC.
Over 250 people attended the Surface Deployment and Distribution Command’s semi-annual Personal Property Forum on October 29th, 2013, in Fairview Heights, Ill. A variety of topics were discussed and a large number of varying opinions were certainly voiced. Among the top topics was SDDC’s approval of DoD Transportation Providers and the Open Season criteria.
