When talking to a customer, moving companies often forget the most important factor of their service: its value. People usually only move one or two times in their lifetime and, therefore, do not understand all of the hard work that goes into a move. Think about all of the challenges that your movers encounter during a move- from loading their valuables to transporting them and unloading them in a safe, delicate way. All three steps of the move have the potential for their own problems including damaging the furniture. The amount of physical and careful work that it requires should be valued by the customer, so while talking to your customers, it is necessary to talk about just how valuable your movers are.

Price and value go hand-in-hand when it comes to choosing a moving company, so a customer will assume right away that whatever price they are paying is equivalent to the value of the moving company without actually talking about it.

However, moving companies are notorious for their “winter deals” due to the inevitable lower volumes of moves. These discounted prices in the off season do bring in more business, but customers are not aware of the value of the service they could get due to that price.

In order to inform your customers of the top-notch value your moving company provides, you must tell them. Don’t let your valuable service be overshadowed by a low or discounted price. Your movers are extremely valuable and unique in the careful service they provide customers. Make it known to your customers.
