Ordering boxes is an expensive process alone and there is very little profit to be made at the end of the day when you sell them to the customer. Used boxes, depending on the brand of box, can be used tens of times before they wear and tear too much to be valuable. If a customer brings back boxes that aren’t valuable, no return is issued for the damaged boxes. However you need to make sure that within your box return plan that boxes that have been damaged are not returnable.

With this plan, your packing services become a much more valuable service to the customer. Think about it, if you were a customer and were offered packing services and a refund for the boxes, that means that all you have to do is front the money for the boxes, but you will get the money back. It is a win-win situation. As the owner, you don’t have to buy as much of the same branded product, you re-use your boxes, the customer brings them to you, and they are placed right back to you as an available resource.
