The NCMA was first established in 1969 as a way to improve the connection between the different organizations and to bring together the industries to ensure a smooth understanding of the requirements of the different aspects of the moving business across America.
The IAM is looking to bring together all the different organizations that jointly affect the moving business. Bringing together different organizations creates a stronger industry. One aim of the IAM is to coordinate all of their events and meetings to coincide with other moving conventions with the sole purpose to save time and money for moving businesses. Another goal is to create global standards for the industry.
The 96th convention for the California Moving and Storage Association was a success. The convention looks to the future of the moving business, what new technology there is available, and benefits for the moving industry as a whole.
Every now and again, moving companies are asked to move some pretty high-profile people. Ranging from CEO’s and politicians to celebrities. Earlier this summer, Arpin Van Lines was specifically chosen to do just that in moving former Olympic Hockey Legend, Dave Christian. He was part of the U.S. Olympic hockey team that won the gold in the event known as the “Miracle on Ice.” A personal connection with the company made this move possible.
